Hello Mystery Guest

Can you help Chris with a new species? Do you know where to get good views of birds?

I'd love to add to my collection of bird photographs and I need your help in doing so! I'm always on the lookout for an improvement in the pictures I've taken or the chance to get to photograph a new species. If you feel you can help me and know either where I can find a species I am missing or where you think there is a good location to get good views of species I already have taken, then please get in touch with me.

The welfare of a bird and its environment and also the confidentiality of a location for more sensitive species are always of utmost importance when I embark on a bird watching trip and I fully adhere to the laws governing Schedule 1 species so rest assured that I'm not a "gung-ho, get the picture at any costs" type of person!

Any of the species listed in the drop down menus above which don't have a working link constitute a species that I have yet to see and photograph in the field here in the UK, so any information on where and when to see them would be most gratefully appreciated.

There are several species that I have photographed but some only with record shots and I would love the chance to get some higher quality pictures. Specifically these include Bittern, Hawfinch, Cuckoo, Curlew Sandpiper, Firecrest, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Garganey, Golden Plover, Great Grey Shrike, Green Woodpecker, Kingfisher, Little Stint, Sandwich Tern, Tawny Owl & Turtle Dove. Noticeable absences from my collection include Merlin, Jack Snipe, Yellow-Legged Gull, most Divers and also many seawatching species such as Skuas, Shearwaters & Petrels which will hopefully come in time.

Having a full time job and also a young family, time is very precious for me so the time I get for birding is very limited. I often tend to get out nice and early to maximise my time.

So there you have it. If you feel you can add something to this site then please Get in Touch! I am more than happy to credit you on the site for any help offered (if you so desire) and happy to meet up in the flesh for a spot of birdwatching too!
